Things to do in Disneyland: Jungle Cruise Sunrise Safari Breakfast Experience

Do you have a Disney bucket list? Mine includes Club 33, a room with an ocean view on a Disney cruise, and the recently announced Jungle Cruise Sunrise Safari Breakfast.

As soon as my brother told me about the once in a lifetime opportunity to dine in a classic Disney Adventureland attraction, I knew it had to go on my to-do list for our next trip. The Sunrise Safari Breakfast takes place on the African veldt on select dates from September 21 to December 2 this year. Don’t tell me that you haven’t wondered what it would be like to wander behind the scenes of an attraction! Is it crazy that I am secretly not sad when an attraction pauses and we get to go out behind the scenes?

The breakfast amidst the African scenery will include fresh pastries and scones, exotic fruit and chia parfait, eggs, glazed pork belly bacon, pan-seared sausage, and roasted golden potato-and-onion hash. While that sounds yummy, let’s be honest, I’m there more for the behind the scenes experience!

After breakfast, Disney treats you to Jungle Skipper training before you get behind the wheel of your own boat to recite your favorite Jungle Cruise Schtick. (My personal favorites: “Don’t worry kids! The zebra is just sleeping. Those lions are his friends!” and “As we approach, please notice that there’s a dock on the left, and a dock on the right.  But don’t let it confuse you.  It’s a paradox!” )

While you are at it, don’t miss out on all the Halloween fun at Disneyland this time of year! I took my kids to Mickey’s Halloween Party and we LOVED it as much as they did. As Disney super fans, we’ve done just about everything so these special events are right up our alley! The after hours trick or treating and special fireworks are worth the price.

My friends at Get Away Today have some fantastic deals right now – 5-day park tickets for the price of a 4-day. They’ll hook you up with Magic Morning early entry passes and discounted hotels as well.

Be sure to use my special code KMFWM to get $10 off your package price as well! Don’t forget – it’s the 60th anniversary Diamond Celebration right now, too. Don’t miss out on these magical memories!

the coolest thing ever is to take the jungle cruise at night. it’s like whole different attraction.

I’ve been to Disney dozens of times, but can’t remember if we’ve done Jungle Cruise at night? Now I want to! I think we usually hit it first thing when we do Indiana Jones.

I went to Disney for the first time earlier this year. No one told me anything about the Jungle Cruise, so all the corny jokes were such a funny surprise for me!

    Taralyn · September 9, 2015 at 9:32 am

They are so corny, but so fun!

Lindsay @Artsy-Fartsy Mama · September 8, 2015 at 10:46 am

This looks like so much fun!! We’ll have to check that out next time we’re at Disney!!

This is one of the few things we haven’t done at Disney. We go every year and I will have to add it to the list for next time.

    Taralyn · September 9, 2015 at 9:33 am

    Definitely a bucket list item!

We love Disney and are sad due to son’s school schedule we will be missing Mickey’s Halloween party this year. that said we are hitting the Christmas Party instead.

It is so magical at Christmas time! My favorite is the snow on Main Street.

I’ve never been on Disney’s Jungle Cruise. It looks like fun! And I bet the special Halloween stuff they’re doing at Disney is awesome.

Tamara · September 9, 2015 at 11:32 am

I’ll have to add that to my bucket list! We go to Disney every January but we haven’t been on the Jungle Cruise yet. I can’t wait.

Heather D. (@GirlGoneMom) · September 9, 2015 at 11:52 am

I wonder if they’ll do this in Disney World too. Looks awesome!

This cruise sounds like a blast! I haven’t been to Disneyland be we are planning a trip to Disney World at some point. I’m hoping to make it to Disneyland with my kids in the future.

Liz Mays · September 9, 2015 at 7:48 pm

It would be so cool to be there for the Halloween party. I really need to make it back down there soon.

Lorane · September 9, 2015 at 10:45 pm

I love the idea of the Breakfast but the Jungle Cruise at night sounds so scary .. well almost. Disneyland is definitely on my list to visit before the year ends
